• Sunday

    • Private work.
    • Google docs has code blocks for gworkspace users but not for personal accounts.
    • Leetcode’s classification (easy/medium/hard) is not very reliable. I do love graph problems though.
    • UFC 293, US Open, NFL, 9LX, SCC.
    • Powders, mealprep, maintenance, the usual.
    • Past few days: graphs. Today: tries, binary search, bit manipulation. Tomorrow: heaps, DP.
  • Friday

    • Private work.
    • Remember one of my NY senators (Kirsten Gillibrand) is focused on crytpo regulatory frameworks.
    • RecipeUI is postman with type safety: https://recipeui.com/
    • Google drive / slack connection = nice. Can even manage permissions with the click of a button, allowing channel members to view/comment/edit files.
    • You CAN sign into multiple emails on the slack mobile app (like gworkspace apps), and access all workspaces associated with that email.
    • Looked at a few of Eric’s vegan investment opportunities.
    • Andrew Ng on genai and others: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5p248yoa3oE. Supervised learning still the largest market share, and remains the underpinning of genai. Lots of cool companies coming out as applications of ai (rather than hardware or tooling etc – better venture chance for a product in practice that uses AI than AI itself).
    • Fischer random chess started today.
    • Listened to the entire (non-live) DMB discography.
    • Remember in python you can have multiple yield from statements in a generator. It basically expands an iterator, calling for each. Useful for stuff like DFS. Traversing a binary tree (eg yield from node.left and then yield from node.right).
    • Some research into factset and axioma.
    • Updated vscode.
  • Thursday

    • Private work.
    • 95 and sunny, last day of real summer? Madison sq park.
    • Placed the td positions from yesterday.
    • Notice.co came out with N50, a weighted/realtime index for the private market: https://notice.co/indexes/notice-50
    • Didn’t have time to address sbsc stuff before 2023 season opener. Will fix after TNF, before saturday lockdown.
  • Wednesday

    • Private work.
    • Garden, humidifier/filter, aquarium maintenance (biweekly and monthly) and refilled autofeeder.
      • Will start doing full aquarium maintenance every 4 weeks (friday).
      • Used dry garden nutrients for the first time. Easier.
    • Mealprep: oat milk, liver, more. The locals from bedford are great: coffee, honeycomb, maple syrup, peach balsamic vinegar, plum butter.
    • Ortho.
      • Paid down, ordered trays.
      • Treatment plan looks good. Super small movement. 26 steps, each nominally taking 2 weeks, but bc my movement is so small, can do 1 week per.
      • Appointment in 2 weeks to do slight stripping between lower teeth (creating tiny space to pull forward) and receipt of trays.
      • At end, can wear nightly removable retainer or a stint (permanent retainer, behind your teeth, easy/invisible but makes cleaning harder).
      • At end, can do bonding with regular dentist to adjust heights / even out tops.
      • They don’t have a billpay system with recurring automatic payments (crazy in 2023).
    • Elon owns ~42% of spacex? He borrowed ~$1B from spacex against his shares. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2023-09-06/spacex-loaned-elon-musk-some-money
    • Spun up sbsc locally for the first time in months. Was an issue on container creation with poetry changing --only root to only-root, fixed and up. Then just queried the db for users that didn’t have email notifications silenced.
    • Instacart still sending me push notifications from old accounts. Confirmed I’m logged into the new (only). Tried disabling notifications. All still coming through. Deleted app/data from phone, redownloaded, logged into new; seems to work now.
    • Transferred a lot from bank to broker. Positioning for mild returns while I draw.
  • Tuesday

    • Back in manhattan.
    • Private work.
    • Tata steel (rapid+blitz) started today. Chess.com speed championship final 16 going on too.
    • Broadway week. List of 24, minus ones I’ve seen, would do: hamilton, mj, chicago, sweeney todd.
    • Checked amex plat credits. Confirmed was getting nytimes, clear, walmart+, equinox, and uber. Still can use: $200 hotel and $100 saks. Spent >2 of the 6k for welcome bonus.
    • US open (men’s singles) = 128 players in a single elimination bracket. Quarterfinals today and tomorrow. Semis friday. Finals sunday.
    • Rewrote and organized (significantly) my DS&A cheatsheet.
  • Monday

    • Private work.
    • Labor day weekend, Bedford, Stamford, more.
    • Magnus wins Julius Baer.
    • Played a lot with chatgpt.
  • Saturday

    • Private work.
    • Number keys, 1-4, 7-0, index fingers do 4/5 and 6/7. Shift symbols on numbers don’t have a mnemonic, just look and memorize until you have them.
    • Wheel of Time is meh.
    • Some intervals and monotonicity problems.
    • Bedford! Labor day weekend.
    • Managing multiple google accounts: easy on laptop/desktop via chrome (not in system settings). For phone, don’t add accounts manually for every app. Just go to one and “manage accounts on this device” for sliders on all your gaccounts.
