- With windows closed and both ACs on low, internal temp stays ~75-80 each day in summer.
- Set up zocdoc account.

- Kindle uses azw3 (when purchased from store).
- Moved source of truth of library to calibre – not amazon, gdrive, or the kindle devices themselves.
- Then resynced with Oasis. And amazon content/devices sync automatically.
- Edited all metadata. Titles, authors, etc. All good now.
- Converted ALL formats to azw3. This is for kindle. It’s what gives page numbers instead of location numbers.
- Backed up the full calibre library (to gdrive), ~400MB.
- Marking as read/unread is a piece of metadata for kindle. Can’t set on calibre natively – just create a custom field.
- Overall very good experience with calibre. Free product, no less.
- Applied cumulative updates to windows. And vscode.

- Convert to epub then email. Mobi is no longer supported. Pdf and epub display similarly (loc instead of page number), but epub shows graphic (when downloaded onto device).
- There’s also the software “calibre” to manage your ebooks. I’ll play with that tomorrow?
- “Books” are the ones you’ve bought (and gifts). Everything you send yourself (epub, pdf, etc) is classified as “Documents” – there’s “Audiobooks” as well.
