    • Submitted GeminiEarn withdrawls. We’ll see if they close in the next week.
    • I’ve mentioned it before (I believe), but I’ve been dabbling with no alcohol for a few months now. Feeling like superman. Will continue this. Full sobriety december?
    • Updated sbsc banner.
    • Lots of private work.
    • Went on a haunted tour around greenwich. Anne Charlotte Lynch House (Poe stayed there), The Hangman’s Elm (nw corner of wsp, hangings happened there), Brown Building (Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, killed 146 people), the Murder House (Twain lived here and saw ghosts), Marie’s Crisis Cafe (when Thomas Paine died), Chumley’s (haunted speakeasy), Cherry Lane Theatre (off broadway, haunted).
    • Did a bunch of model building. StochPy in python. Sent Aladdin request.
    • Route53 increased its annual prices by $1.
  • Monday

    • Sports all day yesterday. World cup opener, qatar/ecuador. Today US first game. NFL. Niners tonight. Warriors rockets, first road win! Champions Chess Tour Finals, magnus.
    • Sidenote – soccer is such a boring spectacle. >90min can be highlighted in <30sec. Watching grown men writhe in agony from zero contact is really uncomfortable. Lots of running. Little action. Ties allowed. Just not an enjoyable sport.
    • Tons of private work.
    • Research in isoftpull, veriff, salesforce, tons of lateral products. Looking at loanpro as well.
    • Remember grayscale has a bunch of trusts and funds and ETF products to allow the avg investor to get crypto exposure through standard brokers. But their parent is Digital Currency Group (DCG), like many of the others. Do…the reserves exist?
  • Saturday

    • Supercontest. One of the matchups wasn’t clickable on mobile (worked fine on desktop): https://gitlab.com/bmahlstedt/supercontest/-/issues/167
    • Did breathwork sitting down today (instead of lying down) to test on-the-go practices. Was ok, but I prefer fully horizontal.
    • Submitted arrive-alive guarantee claim for yellow & purple wrasse.
    • Did a bunch of research on 409As and tender offers (how to run them as if I were the finance team).
    • Lots of private work.
  • Friday

    • I knew SBF had relation to FTX, Alameda, Robinhood, Binance, BlackRock, BlockFi, Celsius, Genesis, Sequoia.
    • I did not know about: 1inch, Anchorage, Messari, Multicoin, Paradigm, Aptos, Yuga.
  • Thursday

    • Upgraded laptop to fedora 37.
    • Did an analysis of all my exposure to CEXs and DeFi protocols. Prepared if the runs continue to creep.
    • My building garage construction is slated to finish in January for Ducati return.
    • Received sleeper blue dot goby, yellow and purple wrasse, green bubbletip anemone, and cerith snails.
    • John J. Ray III (chief restructuring officer of ftx, same as he did for enron): “Never in my career have I seen such a complete failure of corporate controls and such a complete absence of trustworthy financial information as occurred here. From compromised systems integrity and faulty regulatory oversight abroad, to the concentration of control in the hands of a very small group of inexperienced, unsophisticated and potentially compromised individuals, this situation is unprecedented.”
    • Breathwork: I’m finding my retention periods are much better if I don’t limit my hyperventilation to 30 breaths, but rather 35-40 until I’m lightheaded. My body is adjusting and I’m getting better with practice, so I’m increasing magnitudes all around.
    • Planted new round of jalapenos.
    • Saw Andrew Schulz show in east village.
  • Wednesday

    • FDNY now requires a fire safety notice on all manhattan units. Adhered one to the inside of my front door.
    • Tons of private work.
    • Gemini’s withdrawals exceeded their liquidity yesterday. They’re not linked to FTX (alameda). They don’t have exposure to FTX (blockfi). But their Earn program is backed by Genesis, which has a connection to FTX, which caused the withdrawal pause. I do have significant holdings in gemini earn.
    • Reviewed my whole portfolio to check exposure to all the recent downfalls.
    • Cooked the practice turkey for friendsgiving. Garlic / olive oil biner, szechuan/paprika/cumin/mustard/pepper rub, dry brine 24hr, bacon fat injection, honey glaze.
    • Only 1 item not in stock for tomorrow’s liveaquaria arrival: maxima clam.
    • Supercontest. Updated banner, committed lines, submitted picks.
  • Tuesday

    • 8B people on the planet.
    • After self-pacing my breathwork for the last few weeks, I did a wim-hof-guided session today just to touch base. I feel like my pace is on point, although my breaths are fully/deeper at the same frequency as I improve. I did notice that I got more lightheaded and had an overall MORE effective session, even at retention times of 90/120/150s (shorter than when I self-pace) . Why is this? Not exactly sure. I think it’s because I don’t have to keep a backburner thought process on counting breaths or advancing to the next session. Guidance allows you to drop all structure and just immerse. The music/voice also adds a distraction during the retention portion (good? bad? both?).
    • Mealprepped. Oatmilk, liver, rice, eggs, bacon, tortillas.
    • Also segmented/tenderized/scored/brined/injected a practice turkey for tomorrow.
    • World cup bracket fillout.
    • Always dry brine meat (not just fish) uncovered on baking racks in the fridge so that the pellicle forms. Dries the exterior out (crispy skin) and attracts more smoke (if smoking).
    • Lots of private work.
