    Process

    • Keep a document open all day. Take live notes for everything that happens.
    • Take 10 min at the end of the day. Clean it up. Structure. Common categories: planned deliverables, unplanned support, general info.
    • Copy incomplete items to the next day. This is the start for tomorrow’s live document.
    • Keep a separate page for global to-do items, and pull from that as necessary to plan.
    • Publish the day’s page with the complete items.
    • Copy big wins (if any) to a separate page. More concise. Helpful for annual reviews, leadership meetings, raise negotiations, progress reports, whatever.
    • Reread today’s page the next morning (now yesterday’s page) to help with retention across a sleep cycle.
